3A77 B.L.S Ambulance

3A77 was added to the fleet in 2010; it is a 2001 Ford E350 Diesel chassis, utilizing a Medtech Ambulance box. This ambulance was the second ambulance the department purchased due to a rising need in the area for emergency medical services. Since the addition of this second ambulance, the department has had several incidents that both ambulances were needed for separate calls at the same time.

3A78 B.L.S Ambulance

3A78 was added to the fleet in 2008; it is a 1999 Ford E350 Diesel chassis, utilizing a Medtech Ambulance box. This ambulance was the first ambulance the department put into service and has been used on many incidents. Because of the addition of our first ambulance, the fire district was able to eliminate the need to wait for a county ambulance (located in Carthage) to respond to the scene which has shortened the time it takes to get a patient to the hospital by an average of 30minutes.

Ladder 5

Ladder 5 was added to the fleet in 2001; it is a 2001 Freightliner chassis, utilizing a 75ft. RK Aerial ladder. This apparatus is equipped with a complete Jaws of Life rescue set and contains a 1500gpm pump and 500 gallon water tank. Nauvoo contains many buildings and some hotels over 3 stories or 35ft. in height and because this ladder truck is 1 of only 2 ladder trucks in the whole county it has become a great asset to the district.
